Emmerdale’s Liam Cavanagh is left conflicted next week as Manpreet Sharma comes clean about Joe Tate’s scheming – will he agree to cover up her wrongdoing?
Following her shocking confession that Joe convinced her to obtain a vial of Caleb Miligan’s blood for him to test as a donor match, Manpreet begs Liam to turn a blind eye to her revelation. But will Liam put his own professional reputation on the line to help save his colleague?
“Manpreet is a great doctor, who just happens to have made some questionable choices lately,” reveals our Emmerdale source.
“First, making a secret profile to flog her X-rated pictures, then going along with Joe’s plot to get his hands on Caleb’s blood – she’s been on a bit of a dark spiral.
“Joe totally pulled the wool over her eyes, but Manpreet trusts Liam and hopes he’ll help out a friend who’s made a very, very grave error of judgement.”
Liam begrudgingly agrees to cover up her involvement, much to Manpreet’s relief. However, he can’t shake the feeling that Manpreet has betrayed him with her recklessness…
“Manpreet essentially went behind his back and risked the reputation of their doctor’s surgery, and that’s a huge no for Liam,” our insider continues.
“He’s a very moral man, and he takes his work very seriously – everything that Manpreet’s done has not only risked her own career, but it’s also put his on the line, too.
